This dress by Nicholas in sumptuous red velvet is the perfect holiday indulgence. I love how the satin long blazer from Alice + Olivia adds a bit of a menswear vibe to a feminine flowing silhouette. I chose a minimal black sandal, the Nudist, by Stuart Weitzman and a sleek shiny clutch. A simple hairstyle like a slicked back ponytail with center part allows for a standout accessory like these dazzling earrings by Kendra Scott.

Red is always a good choice if you want to make a statement. Last year red made the winning lineup in my Holiday Style Countdown for the obvious reason it’s the color of the holiday season.
