I’ve been collecting so many velvet separates since last season that this look came as a happy accident! This amazing velvet Alice + Olivia one-button coat was my hero piece and main inspiration —which I’ve also worn as a dress. I had already owned the perfect pair of velvet pants and J.crew velvet ankle strap heels. You can find similar styles below. And the red satin Olivia Palermo X Banana Republic asymmetric top and some tassel earrings round out the look. There really is nothing like velvet and satin to look and feel luxurious. And a tux look is the perfect desk-to-dinner holiday outfit. Just drape the jacket on the back of your chair when at a less buttoned up office or family gathering and wear a black cardi underneath if its chilly. Let your hair down, add a festive bag and jewelry for a holiday evening affair. Or, keep the glam going and pair with a faux-fur scarf. Ooh, (fa) la la.
